getting big!

I have not blogged in awhile and so much has happened! Claire is 9 months today! She is getting so big. I have been out of school the last couple of weeks and have had a blast being home with her every single day. Some new milestones....

* has been crawling like crazy
* loves to climb on everything
* can walk holding onto something
* can stand up by herself without holding anything
* love ANY food we feed her! she has yet to turn away any baby food
* still no teeth.....
* loves getting into everything..especially the cat food
* can make it up the whole flight of stairs in about 20 sec
* dances likes nobody's business
* loves swinging, swimming and anything outdoors
* says dadda, momma, and baba
* can clap her hands, wave bye bye and give high fives
* the single happiest baby I have ever seen

and so much more I can't even list. I was looking at home videos from when we first brought Claire home. It is crazy to think of how little she was. Even in the beginning she was smiling and she has not stopped. She always has a smile on her face!

Another First!
We have had a lot of first happening lately but this one was not only for Claire but for me! I would be lying if I said I have NEVER been fishing because my mom has a picture of me with a blue gill that I caught in joyschool :) but this was my first actual time fishing as an adult ha. Since Trevor had work off for Memorial day we wanted to get out and do something fun. So we decided to go up to Pine Valley and go fishing. I was afraid there was going to be a ton of people, which there was, but we still found a perfect spot right in the shade. It seemed like no one was really catching anything so I thought it would be a boring day but it was blast! Trevor ended up catching 3 fish and I caught one. I felt bad for the little guys but we set them free and hopefully their lips heal where the hook was :( Claire did great she loved being outside and thought it was HILARIOUS when we caught a fish and it was flopping in the water. We were drained by the time we got home but are already planning our next fishing trip!

1st trip to the park...
We finally made out first trip to the park! I knew Claire would love to swing and go down the slide because she loves the wind and being outdoors. We went to a park that had a pond so we could see the ducks too! Claire had so much fun (except for the scary ducks that tried to attack us! they were running after us!)

1/2 year birthday!

Claire finally turned 6 months! Trevor thought I was nuts because I wanted to have a birthday party for her! So instead of having a party Claire and I just hung out and played :) and for her present I painted her nails to match mine! They were so cute. I could not get a good picture of them but I painted her toes and fingers. She was so good, she just sat and watched me paint them.

I can't believe how big she is getting and how time is flying. Some fun new milestones we have been experiencing lately is....

she is sitting up all by herself and can play with toys and everything while sitting
she loves baby food! especially sweet potatoes and pears. not so much carrots....
She loves to read books!
She loves going on adventures and being outdoors
She loves to swim in her pool
She rolls EVERYWHERE. She can get from one side of the room to the other in about 30 seconds

She is the HAPPIEST baby I know. She smiles when you just look at her :)

This week we decided to go out and buy a little swimming pool to put in our backyard. Claire LOVES taking bathes so I knew she would love swimming too! It felt like it took all day to fill it with water but once it was done we were ready to swim! It was a little chilly today but it will be soooo nice when its 100000 degrees outside to just sit outback while Claire floats around.
