The Big Stage

Claire hit the big stage again for her winter dance recital. She loves performing and being on the big stage. Every time she starts a new semester of dance she asks for months when her big day is and when she will get to dance in front of everyone. She must like attention?.... I get so proud of her every time I see her up there. She is always one of the best and has so much fun! I almost cry every recital because it just makes me so happy that she loves it so much! This was her first time taking hip hop so she got to do a dance for that class too. She had one hip hop, one ballet, one jazz and one tap. I'm so proud of her for learning so many dances and getting up there and dancing her heart out!

 Her

white out

St. George finally got some SNOW!!!! and not just a little bit but a lot! In all 25 years of my life here in St. George I have never seen snow like this! When the snow came it just never stopped. It reminded me why I DON'T live somewhere that it snows. The whole city was in chaos.... No one knew how to deal with all of this snow.  The roads and everything were such a mess! There were warnings to just stay inside but of course people wanted to go out and see the snow and had places to go and there were cars stuck in the snow everywhere and so many accidents. Thank goodness we don't get snow like this ever but we did have a little bit of fun with it. Claire thought it was the best time ever! Maggie and her played out in the snow for hours!

Since we don't own a lot of snow clothes I'm sure Claire was freezing but that did not stop her from being out in the snow as much as possible. Now Claire thinks it snows here every year around Christmas....

ROCK n ROLL

It is finally Claire's big day!! I can't believe Claire is FOUR years old!!! I wish I could make time stop or at least slow down but since I can't I guess we will just party! We love to throw a good birthday party in our house and with Claire's help I think they turn our pretty fun. For her 4th birthdya we decided to have a Rock n Roll party complete with a red carpet, Claire's favorite hits CDs, making your own guitars, karaoke, a bounce house, custom guitar picks and LOTS of yummy treats. We had such a good time at her party and everyone looked great on the red carpet!

Everyone got to walk to red carpet as they came into the house. Inside we had paper guitars for all the kids to color, pizza to eat, treats to enjoy and some karaoke.

Then we sent the kids outside for bounce time...

After Claire's fabulous party we decided the fun could just not end (and we had lots of left over toys and treats!) so we had a little neighborhood friend party on Claire's actual birthday. She invited a few of her little friends over and we did it all over again with about three times as much singing and dancing!

I think Claire rocked out a little too hard this year! I still can't believe she is FOUR! I guess we will just start planning next years party!

Our Family

It is family picture time again! We actually had fun taking our pictures this year. It is getting a little easier each year now that Claire is getting older. She will actually hold still and smile when we ask her to. It always takes a little bribing, mainly bribing Trevor, but we can usually get a few good ones with all of us smiling. This year we decided to bring Maggie a lot and get a few with her, which was not easy, but I'm glad we did!

Since Claire's birthday is coming up we decided to get just a few of her for her invitations. She is having a Rock Star birthday party so she had fun finding her some clothes that she thought were totally "Rock Star" and rocking out for some pictures! I love all of her pictures and can't believe how big she looks in all of them. My little Rock Star is growing up.
